They said that after a train crossed the boom barrier developed a technical issue. Within few minutes, long queues of vehicles were witnessed on the both sides of the track. Commuters even stepped out of their vehicles. Some were seen asking the gateman about what had cause the problem in the barrier. People were even seen honking repeatedly out of frustration.

As some two-wheeler borne commuters lost patience, they forcibly started pulling the barrier up and crossed the tracks. In the meantime, another train arrived and the gateman had to stop residents from crossing the track. The train’s speed also had to be slowed down as irritated people had gathered on the track.

Later, nearly after half an hour the boom barrier began working, although, the traffic moved at a snail’s pace.

Commuters said under such circumstances, the railways must resolve the issue immediately to prevent harassment to the commuters.
