The second edition of the one-day VCA Rapid Chess Tournament is set to be organised by the Vasudha Chess Academy here at DCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, on December 1.

Academy director Vasudha Sharma said competition in four age categories — boys and girls mix U-8, U-11, U-14 and U-17 — would be conducted as per Swiss League System during the tournament and the latest World Chess Federation (FIDE) laws would be applicable. Cash prizes worth Rs 23,200 will be given to the winners.

Interested players can confirm their entries with Vasudha at 98151-30066 or Vikas Sharma, senior national arbiter, at 98157-30066 by November 27.
