As the 2024-25 financial year came to an end on Monday so did the window for filing returns. Chartered accountants said there was no issue with the software, as far as the filing of returns was concerned. CAs Shila Bhakoo and Mantosh Gupta said March 31 was the last date of filing TDS corrections but the government should extend this period for at least three months so that those who had not checked and filed corrections, could do so.
While traders felt they were suffering. “For three consecutive days there will be no public dealings due to which the work of traders is suffering,” said Ayush Aggarwal, general secretary, Punjab Pradesh Beopar Mandal.
