The 1984 anti-Sikh Riot victims have announced to launch a fresh wave of agitation to draw attention to their long-pending demands.
A formal announcement regarding the organised struggle would be made during the concluding session of a three day religious programme at Gurdwara Shri Singh Sabha, CRPF Colony, Dugri on Sunday, on the occasion of the 41the anniversary of the riots.
Activists, led by president Surjit Singh and stri wing president Gurdeep Kaur, alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party government, like traditional political parties, had failed to redress issues of riot victims and none of the promises made during the election campaigns and on multiple occasions had been kept.
