The police claimed to have recovered a Baleno car that had been snatched by two armed miscreants of Majri village and was being used by the suspects under a fake number.

The vehicle was recovered by cops led by SHO, Jodhan Saheb, Meet Singh on the basis of information extracted from Harshdeep Singh Harsh of Majri village, who was arrested with weapons and ammunition on Thursday.

It was during interrogation in police remand that Harsh confessed to have committed robberies and snatching by threatening the victims with weapons. His accomplice Sarabjot Singh Sabbu is still absconding.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Ludhiana Rural, Dr Ankur Gupta informed that cops supervised by DSP, Dakha, Varinder Khosa and SHO Meet Singh had recovered a Baleno car on the basis of Harshdeep Singh Harsh’s interrogation, who had confessed to have committed robberies and snatchings along with his accomplice Sarabjot Singh Sabbu.

“Having confirmed that the main accused had committed snatching with the help of his accomplice Sabbu, we succeeded in recovering a Baleno car that was snatched a long time ago and used under fake number plates,” said Gupta maintaining the Jodhan police had tightened the noose around the absconding suspect Sabbu.
