SAD Ludhiana (West) bypoll candidate Parupkar Singh Ghumman, a legal expert, is spearheading a people-centric campaign — driven by his entire family.
From early morning meetings to late night door-to-door interactions, Ghumman’s campaign is a family operation in the truest sense. His wife, Arvinder Kaur Ghumman, is leading outreach among women voters, emphasising welfare, education and healthcare. His daughter, Ishwin Kaur Ghumman and son-in-law, Sachin Arora, have digitised the campaigning to reach out to the young voters.
His brother, KS Ghumman, has become the logistical backbone — overseeing ground teams, public meetings and media coordination. His sister is actively engaging with senior citizens and women’s groups in the segment, offering a personal touch that resonates with local communities.
Adding further energy and connectivity to the campaign is his niece, who has been instrumental in engaging with first-time voters and organising awareness drives.
Even his extended family —sister-in-law and brother-in-law — can be seen actively canvassing in key wards, reinforcing long-term commitment to voters of the Ludhiana (West) segment.
Arvinder said, “Politics needs compassion, and that’s what our family brings to the table. We’re reaching every nook and corner of Ludhiana (West), listening to women, understanding their concerns and assuring them that their voice matters. If we come into power, we want to work sincerely for the betterment of our people.”
Ishwin said, “It’s inspiring to walk this journey with my father, not just as family but as a citizen who cares deeply about Ludhiana (West). We are going door-to-door, engaging with people in every street to truly understand their challenges. This campaign is about building trust and ensuring that, when given the responsibility, we act decisively for the upliftment of our community.”
Arora said they were leaving no stone unturned — from digital to the grassroots. He said they were getting positive response from the voters. “We are proud to campaign together as a family. People see that we are united, serious and committed to long-term development —not just the bypoll,” said KS.
His sister Harpreet Kaur Sandhu said, “Every home I visit reminds me that this campaign is about restoring faith in leadership. We’re here not just for votes but to listen and assist voters.”
Ghumman said, “Ludhiana (West) is my extended family. I have seen struggles and people’s resilience of this segment. My foremost commitment is to restore law and order and to work tirelessly for a safer and more progressive future for every resident. Together, we can rebuild trust and bring meaningful change.”
