SAI training centre takes out cycle rally
The Sports Authority of India (SAI) Training Centre, Ludhiana, organised a cycle rally here on Sunday to mark World Cycle Day, which falls on June 3. The rally was taken out under the directions of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports under the supervision of Puskar Singh, assistant director of the centre.
An international cyclist, Sahil, was the chief guest on the occasion.
Trainees of the SAI, local centre, accompanied by coaches and staff, participated in the rally that covered a distance of 3 km. Starting from SAI Training Centre, opposite Guru Nanak Stadium, it passed through Fountain Chowk, Bharat Nagar Chowk before culminating at the centre.
At the conclusion of the rally, refreshments were served to the participants.

rally in Doraha
A similar cycle rally was also taken out in Doraha in which students of the physical education department of Guru Nanak National College, besides volunteers of the NSS, NCC cadets and local residents participated. Dr Nirlep Kaur, head of the department, flagged off the rally.
Principal Sarvjit Kaur Brar appreciated the efforts put in by Dr Nirlep Kaur, Dr Sompal Heera, Kuwant Singh, Jarnail Singh and Paramjit Singh in organising the event successfully.
