Taking action against a violator of the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act, 1994, a scan centre was sealed by the Health Department on the directions issued by Civil Surgeon Pardeep Kumar Mohindra.

Dr Mohindra said the scan centre was issued a notice and after it failed

to submit a satisfactory answer, the same was sealed by the Health department on Monday.

The Civil Surgeon said strict action would be taken against the scan centre for violating the norms.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
