Satish Chander Dhawan (SCD) Government College, Ludhiana, stamped its supremacy by winning the Panjab University Inter-College Volleyball Tournament for Boys, held at the Panjab University campus ground, Chandigarh.

SCD players proved their dominance as they remained undefeated in the round-robin league to emerge the winners. They exhibited an excellent offensive strategy and did not concede a single set against their opponents to fetch the top honours.

In the first match, SCD Government College trounced Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College, Sector 32, Chandigarh, in straight sets 3-0 and in the next match, they scripted an identical (3-0) win over Khalsa College, Sector 26, Chandigarh.

Continuing with the cadence, SCD Government College recorded an emphatic 3-0 win against Panjab University campus, Chandigarh, and in the fourth and last league encounter, they decimated Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Mahilpur in Hoshiarpur district, 3-0 to make a clean sweep and romped home without being challenged.

Principal Suman Lata congratulated the students on bringing laurels to their alma mater and appreciated Kulwant Singh, HoD, physical education, for their efforts and guidance.
