Shamrock Christian Senior Secondary School

Ludhiana: Shamrock Christian Senior Secondary School students participated in various activities under the cyber club. These activities were organised in order to promote and encourage cyber awareness among the students. The students of Class I and II were given the task of identification of computer parts with the help of flash cards. Students of classes III and IV made a 3D model of the keyboard. The participants were provided with certificates.

Nankana Sahib Public School

Nankana Sahib Public School’s budding volleyball players emerged victorious in the zonal tournament held at Sacred Soul Convent School, Dhandra. In the U-17 category, the team won the first position. Avneet Kaur Gill, Harshita Gupta, Simardeep Kaur, Vanshika, Tanvir Kaur and Japneet Kaur were selected for the district level. In the U-14 category, the school team secured the second position with Gurleen Kaur Gill, Muskan Kalsi, Ashmeet Kaur, Mannatpreet Kaur, Gurleen Kaur and Ekamjot Kaur being selected for the district level. Principal Harmeet Kaur Waraich lauded the players and the teachers behind them on the achievement.

Khalsa College for women

The students of Khalsa College for women have achieved outstanding result in the MA second semester exams, which was declared by Panjab University on August 2. One student of the college placed her name in top five university positions. Anamika Gupta has the bagged first university position by scoring 385/400 marks (96 per cent). All other students who had appeared in the examination have secured more than 85 per cent marks.

DAV Public School

DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, hosted an informative session featuring speakers Ashutosh Pandey, a renowned environmentalist; Amber Bandopadhyay, District Development and Panchayat Officer; and Maneet Dewan, founder of City Needs NGO. The event emphasised the importance of climate action and community involvement, aligning with the commitment of the school towards environmental sustainability and social responsibility.

BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School

BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, recently transformed into a hub of creativity and intellectual exploration as it hosted its annual extravaganza. The event, featuring a series of activities for students of classes I to IV, showcased a blend of scientific inquiry and artistic expression. Over 2,200 young minds presented a dazzling array of experiments, from the intricacies of circuit design to the wonders of space exploration and mathematics. The event was a platform for students to articulate their understanding of complex concepts and their real-world applications in an engaging and inspiring manner. Beyond scientific discoveries, the students also demonstrated a keen awareness of practical life skills, offering insights into healthy living, digital etiquette and effective parenting. Dr Anuja Kaushal, principal, lauded the event as a platform for students to think critically.

BCM School

LSSC Group Folk Dance Competition was hosted by BCM School, Chandigarh Road, in its Mata Thakur Devi Auditorium. The event saw performances from 32 participating schools, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the region and proved a resounding success. In his address, Principal DP Guleria emphasised the importance of preserving and promoting our cultural heritage. He aligned the event with the National Education Policy (NEP), highlighting its focus on holistic development and the significance of art and culture in education. TNS
