Guru Nanak Public School, Model Town Extension, Ludhiana, hosted its Annual Prize Distribution Function with great splendour and excitement. Dr Vandana Arora, the chairperson of the Department of Laws at Panjab University, Chandigarh, was the chief guest for the event. The principal, Mona Singh, welcomed the esteemed chief guest and other dignitaries to the function. The event began with students delivering the annual report for the session 2023-24. The highlight of the occasion was the prize distribution ceremony, where the chief guest presented awards to students for their academic and sports achievements during the session. A total of 23 students were awarded trophies for their performance in the ICSE Examination 2024. Divij Arora and Rajveer Singh were recognised for representing CISCE in the National Handball Team for U-19 at the SGFI games. Jagminder Kaur, a dedicated staff member, was honoured for her 25 years of service to the institution. The event also featured a cultural programme, with Luddi, the traditional folk dance of Punjab, stealing the show and earning a standing ovation from the audience. The chief guest congratulated all prize winners in academics and sports, wishing them success in their future endeavours. Parents expressed heartfelt appreciation for the efforts of both students and teachers, who collectively showcased the impressive achievements of the students. The principal, Mona Singh, expressed her sincere gratitude to the parents for their support in making the event a grand success.

Police DAV Public School

The final round of ‘Kanishtha Nritya Ratan-2024-25’, a solo dance competition for students in classes III to V, was held with great enthusiasm at Police DAV Public School, Ludhiana, on February 6, 2025. The event showcased a thrilling display of talent and passion for dance. Over 150 students participated in the shortlisting round, from which 50 young dancers were selected for the grand finale. Their captivating performances, which blended grace, expressions and technical excellence, left the audience spellbound. The judges for the event were Megha Bector, coordinator of the primary wing and Nidhi Gupta, an international dance performer and member of the school’s Social Science Faculty. The occasion was graced by Dr Anu Verma, the school’s principal, who was the chief guest. She applauded the performances and commended the dance department for nurturing such promising talent. Dr Verma emphasised the importance of cultural activities in a holistic education, encouraging students to pursue their artistic passions alongside their academic pursuits. The event was meticulously organised by the dance department, ensuring a seamless and enriching experience for both the participants and the audience.
