The students of Nankana Sahib Public School, Gill Park, brought laurels to the school by excelling in two religious competitions. In the quiz competition on Sahibzadas organised by Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Abhiraj Singh (Class VIII) secured first position, followed by Jashanpreet Singh (Class VIII) in second place. The third position was jointly secured by Gurpreet Singh and Harsimran Kaur (Class VIII). The consolation prizes were awarded to Angela Sehgal (Class VIII), Kiranpreet Kaur (Class VII), Anureet Kaur (Class VII) and Hardeep Kaur (Class VIII). In the dastarbandi competition organised by Saka Sargand 13 Poh Punjab, Jasandeep Singh of Class IX won a cash prize of ?1,000. It was held at Issapur Landa village, Punjab.

BCM Arya Model School

BCM Arya Model Senior Sec School, Ludhiana, has once again demonstrated its excellence by securing first place in ‘Desh aur Hum 3.0’ under the category of “Youth & Tax: Building a Happier Future” reel making competition organised by the National Academy of Direct Taxes, Ministry of Finance, Government of India. Pranat Verma (XII CFS) and Prisha Jain (XI CFS) secured first position for their exceptional creativity. Special appreciation was also extended to Pragya (XII Mass Media) for her invaluable support in bringing the project to life. Their award-winning reel stood out among 1,530 participants nationwide, earning them an opportunity to visit the New Indian Parliament.

DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana, organised a traffic awareness session on January 23 as part of its ongoing commitment to promoting road safety. The session was graced by Kuldeep Singh Bawa, RTO, Ludhiana, as the chief guest. Bawa delivered an impactful message on the importance of adhering to traffic rules and ensuring road safety. He emphasised on the need for vigilance and responsibility while travelling, inspiring attendees to take a pledge to uphold road safety.

Police DAV Public School, Police Lines, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, organised a havan ceremony on the school premises on January 24 to promote well-being and harmony and purify and cleanse the environment. Chanting of mantras and offerings to the sacred fire created a rejuvenating effect on both the body and the mind and paved the way for future success. On this occasion, the students of Class V performed havan. The principal of the school, Anu Verma, performed the havan for the spiritual growth of teachers, students and staff.

Greenland Convent School

The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic pride at Greenland Convent School, Dugri. The school atmosphere was filled with joy and enthusiasm during the celebrations. A special programme was organized, featuring fancy dress, poetry recitation, a street play titled "Aao Samvidhan ko Jane" and dance performances. The school premises was beautifully decorated with Tricolor paper crafts, hangings, leaves, cut-outs of doves and butterflies, Tricolor flowers and attractive posters. The programme concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem.
