Security guard kills septuagenarian father with brick
The deceased, Boota Singh, had requested his son Avtar Singh to stop consumption of liquor
The Ludhiana (Rural) police have initiated a probe into a case in which a 41-year-old youth of Rajgarh village allegedly killed his septuagenarian father by hitting him with a brick on Friday night.
The deceased, Boota Singh, had to lose his life for pleading his son Avtar Singh to shun consuming liquor, under the influence of which he (son) hit his father’s head with a brick.
The suspect is working as a private security guard at Ludhiana while the deceased was a daily wager.
Though the Sudhar police are yet to announce the arrest of the accused formally, sources at the police station revealed that Avtar Singh had been detained in inebriated condition. The police were in the process of registering a case.
