A 75-year-old man, OP Dutta, seems to have lost all hope to get a dangerous bunch of wires removed from outside his house. Despite writing to the authorities concerned, Chief Minister and many other bigwigs, none has bothered to resolve his issue.

Talking to The Tribune, Dutta , a native of Jammu and Kashmir and now staying in the Habib Road area near the CMCH, here, said a few months ago a neighbour opposite his house started reconstruction of his house and shifted his live naked power cables along the wall of Dutta, where his bedroom is located. “There is a big cluster of wires hanging with my window where twice sparking was witnessed. Luckily my wooden door and`window frames did not catch fire. Electricity of whole street had gone off afterwards. Now, any thing can happen as per the condition of the electric wires. The issue has been brought in the notice of engineer concerned but nobody has responded so far,” rued the senior citizen in a helpless manner.
