Smart classes, digital labs launched in four schools of Amritsar
Under a special initiative, the district administration has launched smart classes and digital laboratories for learning outcome assessment in four middle schools of the district with the objective of arousing the interest of children in technology-driven learning tools. The Mindspark Labs were today launched by Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney who said these labs had been started at Government Middle School, Kot Mahna Singh, Guru Nanak Pura, Gumtala and Government Middle School, Bharadiwal. “Five labs have been provided in each school and in these labs, the login ID of each child will be created. In this way, the children will first give their test in subjects including maths, science and Punjabi by starting their login, which will further assess and evaluate the level of learning of the child and enhance classroom learning accordingly.” She said that this lab will make the children study in an interesting way and keep the child's interest alive.
The Deputy Commissioner said that with this initiative, an important step to bridge the gap in the quality of education between the children of government schools and private schools has been taken.
The Punjab government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Mindspark, with the help of which the flagship Mindspark software will be deployed in schools. He said that with Mindspark, teachers will also be very comfortable and will know at what level the student is to be taught and their teaching capacity will be further enhanced.
AAP MLAs Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjer, Dr Jasbir Sandhu and Dr Ajay Gupta inaugurated these labs in schools of their respective constituencies.
