Under the ongoing anti-drug campaign ‘Yudh Nashe Virudh,’ the Khanna police conducted surprise checking at drugstores and chemist shops across the city.

The operation, carried out on the directions of SSP Jyoti Yadav, was headed by DSP (NDPS and Narcotics) in collaboration with a drug inspector.

Drugstore owners were strictly instructed not to indulge in the sale or storage of prohibited drugs and to ensure that no medicines were sold without a valid doctor’s prescription. The authorities urged the public to report any information regarding the sale of banned drugs like Tramadol, Lomotil, Pregabalin, and codeine-based syrups through the ‘Safe Punjab’ WhatsApp chatbot at 9779-100-200. The campaign aims to curb the illegal drug trade and promote a drug-free society.
