Three more inmates at the Central Jail, Ludhiana, were booked under the Section 52 A (1) of the Prisons Act on Thursday for allegedly possessing and using wireless and digital devices.

The police have seized three mobile phones from suspects Satinder Pal Singh, Ajai Kumar and Gurjit Singh.

Several persons, including inmates and government personnel had been booked during the past few months and the police had seized prohibited materials from their possession.

Investigating Officer Gurpreet Singh informed that the case was registered at Division Number 7 Police Station on Thursday on the basis of a letter dated October 10, written by Assistant Superintendent Vijay Kumar.
