Three new Covid-19 cases reported in Ludhiana on Saturday. Two cases were reported from rural and one from urban area. The total number of Covid cases has reached 21. The patients are a 38-year-old man, a 53-year-old man and a 23-year-old girl.
As per the Health Department, two deaths were reported so far in the district.
On Friday, a 69-year-old woman from the district died of Covid after being hospitalised in Chandigarh. Belonging to the Koom Kalan block, the woman who had co-morbid conditions and was suffering from Covid, succumbed to the virus on Friday. On May 25, her Covid test was done, which came out positive. Later, she was referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, Chandigarh.
She was on oxygen support and breathed her last on Friday.
On May 29, the first Covid death was reported from Ludhiana. A 40-year-old patient had died after being admitted for two days to the GMCH, Sector 32, Chandigarh.
