Three vehicles collide on Shivpuri flyover, youth injured
Mishap occurred when some youngsters were consuming liquor by parking their car in middle of road
Three vehicles collided on the Shivpuri flyover on the National Highway on Sunday night.
In the accident, a Bolero camper belonging to a bread company and two cars were involved. The accident said to have caused when some youths were drinking alcohol by parking their car in the middle of the flyover.
After the accident, traffic on the road was affected which was restored by the police after some time.
In the accident, a car that collided with the camper overturned and one of the four youths in the car was seriously injured. He was taken to a nearby hospital where his condition was stated to be stable. After getting information, the police reached the scene and cleared the road blockade.
According to information, the accident occurred on Sunday night around 10:45 pm. Some youngsters were drinking alcohol in their car parked on the Shivpuri flyover. Raman from Jalandhar stopped his car and asked them to clear the way. While Raman was talking to them, a Bolero camper came from the rear and hit his car. Afterwards, another speeding car coming from the rear hit the camper and overturned on the road. Four youths were travelling to Amritsar in the car. One of them suffered serious injuries.
The youths, who were drinking alcohol in their vehicle, fled the scene. The Daresi police have began a probe to identify the suspects.
