Ludhiana, July 10

For traders and industrialists, the high court’s ruling to open Shambhu border was long overdue as they have incurred huge losses in the past one year due to the closure of the border.

Pankaj Sharma, president of Association of Trade and Industrial Undertakings, said, “We hope all leaders of the farmers’ associations will respect the decision and would vacate the border for the economy’s benefit”.

Industrialists demand that agitations should be held in a peaceful manner so that the daily life of residents is not affected, Sharma added.
