Trains to remain off track till tomorrow

With the farmers’ protest continuing, the Northern Railway today announced further cancellation and partial cancellation of Covid special mail/express trains, festival trains and special parcel express trains in the region till November 12.

According to railway officials, New Delhi-Jammu Tawi-New Delhi Rajdhani Express, Haridwar-Amritsar-Haridwar Janshatabdi Express, New Delhi-Katra-New Delhi Shri Shakti Express, New Delhi-Kalka-New Delhi Shatabdi Express and New Delhi-Amritsar-New Delhi Swarn Shatabdi Express trains would remain cancelled till November 12.

Among festival special trains, Jabalpur-Katra-Jabalpur, Dibrugarh-Amritsar-Dibrugarh Express, Ajmer-Jammu Tawi-Ajmer Express, Lucknow-Chandigarh-Lucknow Express, Howrah-Jammu Tawi-Howrah Express and Saharsa-Amritsar-Saharsa Express would also remain cancelled till November 12.

Further, Mumbai Central-Amritsar-Mumbai Central Golden Temple Mail, Bandra Terminus-Amritsar-Bandra Terminus Pashchim Express, Dhanbad-Ferozepur-Dhanbad Ganga Sutlej Express, New Delhi-Una-New Delhi Himachal Express, Jaynagar-Amritsar-Jaynagar Saryu Ganga Express, Kolkata-Amritsar-Kolkata Durgiana Express and Dibrugarh-Amritsar-Dibrugarh Express trains would short-terminate at and short-originate from Ambala Cantt till November 12. — OC
