Trans-persons meet Police Commissioner

The video of a car being attacked in Dashmesh Nagar went viral on Thursday. It was learnt that the reason for the attack was a dispute between two groups of transgender persons over the divison of areas for money collection on happy occasions. The victims alleged that despite the registration of a case, the accused were yet to be arrested. The incident occurred on March 3, when one group attacked the other. Since the attackers were not arrested, the victims reached the Police Commissioner’s office today. He assured them that the attackers would be caught soon.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
