Trials to select teams for national basketball championship on Aug 12

The Punjab Basketball Association (PBA) will organise trials to select probables (boys and girls) at Guru Nanak Stadium here on August 12 from 10 am onwards.

Teja Singh Dhaliwal, honorary general secretary, PBA, said the selected probables would attend the preparatory camp prior to the final selection of Punjab boys and girls teams for the ensuing 75th Junior National Basketball Championship, scheduled to be held from September 2 to 9 in Ludhiana.

Players, born on or after January 1, 2007, are eligible to attend the trials. They have been required to bring their birth certificate in original (issued by the government and registered not over five years from birth) and Aadhaar card during the trials, he said.
