The Shimlapuri police have arrested Sarvraj Singh, a resident of Guru Gobind Nagar, Reru Sahib Road, and seized 36 bottles of liquor from his possession. On August 28, when the police party was patrolling at Guru Gobind Singh Nagar, Shimlapuri, the suspect was seen riding a scooter.

On suspicion, the he was stopped by the police and after search, 36 bottles of illicit liquor were seized from him. In another incident, the Moti Nagar police arrested Tarlochan Singh, a resident of MIG Colony, Jamalpur, for carrying 12 bottles of countrymade liquor. On August 28, during patrolling near Moti Nagar, he, on a scooter, was stopped and liquor was seized from him. The suspect was going to sell the liquor to his clients.
