The city witnessed two road mishaps in which two persons had died. The drivers of two vehicles were identified and booked.

Paramjit Singh, a resident of the Rahon road area, told the police that on February 14, he, along with his brother Chaman Lal, was crossing the road near the Basti Jodhewal chowk when a speeding motorcycle (PB10HL8116) hit his brother. He suffered serious head injuries and died on the spot. The motorcyclist was identified as Gurpreet Singh.

In the other mishap, Deep Kumar said his younger brother Mani Kumar drives the Tata Ace vehicle of his employer. On Friday, when his brother reached Dehlon, a truck hit Tata Ace. His brother suffered critical injuries and was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. The trucker was identified as Aktar Ali.
