Besides helping combat crimes against women and girls, they endeavour to prepare nurseries for producing participants for national and international level competitions, said the sisters.

“It was during events that were held as a part of campaigns launched by the Rotary Club with the intent to enable girls to assess and handle risky situations that we decided to spread awareness about the need to learn some martial arts for children in general and girls in particular,” said Aseem and Arashreet, appreciating several parents who had posed their trust in the sisters by sending their daughters to learn karate.

Finding a blessing in disguise, the duo chose to devote this time to spread awareness about the need for learning martial arts.

Their selection was made in recognition of their outstanding performance at the JKS South Asia Karate Championship, wherein both the sisters won gold medals in their

respective categories.

The duo had also showcased their talent in South Asia Championship organised by Japan Karate-Do Shudokan, India.

The sisters said they would continue to impart training to small groups during the summer vacations. They said they had also coordinated with a number of educational institutes in the region to organise workshops according to their convenience.
