Union Minister Ravneet Bittu visits family of slain Kabaddi player, pledges support

Union Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu today visited the family of late Kabaddi player Tejpal Singh, a resident of Giddarwindi village in Jagraon, who was recently shot dead.

Expressing his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, he assured them of full support from the Union Government in ensuring justice.

The Minister strongly criticised the Punjab Government for its complete failure to maintain law and order in the state, pointing out that incidents of daylight murders, loots and extortions have been on the rise over the past month while the state administration remains indifferent.

Tejpal, 25, was recently shot dead in Jagroan by assailants over old enmity. Three accused, including two brothers were already identified.

Ludhiana rural police has been conducting raids to nab the accused.
