The fire severely burnt the exterior part of the house and the health of a 90-year-old woman got deteriorated due to suffocation. CCTV cameras installed outside the house captured the miscreants.

The house owner, Amarpal Singh, said around 2:30 am, some miscreants came close to the vehicles parked outside the house and set them on fire. After coming to know about the incident, they ran outside for safety. In no time, the fire spread to the front portion of the house. They tried to douse the flames by pouring water. Four of their vehicles were damaged in the fire.

“If there had been a delay of a few minutes, there would have been casualties,” said Gurpreet Kaur, a woman.
