Vet university celebrates Parkash Purb
Bhog of Shri Akhand Path Sahib was solemnised by devotees at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana, in connection with the Parkash Purb of Guru Angad Dev. A community meal was served after the bhog. It is pertinent to mention here that the veterinary university was established in 2006 on the name of the second guru, Guru Angad Dev, who was an ardent animal lover and a number of sick and injured animals got treatment under his personal care. Jatha of Bhai Jarnail Singh recited the holy Gurbani.
Vice-Chancellor Dr Jatinder Paul Singh Gill said the life of all the Gurus and Gurbani of the Guru Granth Sahib enlightened us in many ways. This was a joint effort of employees, teachers, students and other devotees who contributed their services with ‘Tan, Man and Dhan’ in the Akhand Path Sahib. On this occasion a large number of devotees from Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Punjab Agricultural University and outsiders from the campus paid their respects.
