Vet varsity scientist honoured with IPSA-Young Scientist award

Dr Gurjot Kaur Mavi of Directorate of Livestock Farms, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal sciences University, has been honoured with Indian Poultry Science Association (IPSA)-Young Scientist award for the best research paper presentation on ‘Identification of Fertility Associated Sperm Proteins in Kadaknath Breed’ authored by Gurjot Kaur Mavi, PP Dubey, Ranjna S Cheema and Raman Narang” in acknowledgment of her exceptional achievement and significant impact in the field of Poultry Science. Her work is the first one to report for the indigenous Kadaknath breed in the world.

The honour was conferred to her by the Dr Niteen Patil, vice-chancellor, Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Science University (MAFSU), Nagpur, during the XXXIX Indian Poultry Science Association Conference (IPSACON-2024) and National Symposium on ‘Shaping the Indian Poultry Sector for Sustainable Growth’.
