Woman attempts suicide after being dumped by husband

Ludhiana, December 8

A woman dumped by her husband attempted to commit suicide by consuming unknown medicines on Sunday. The woman was rushed to the Civil Hospital under critical condition from where she was referred to DMC hospital.

Prem Lata, mother of the woman, said: “The in-laws of my daughter had disowned my son-in-law and daughter. Since then both had been living at our house. Yesterday, my son-in-law left my daughter at our residence and didn’t return and he even didn’t receive phone calls.”

He started living with his parents house. My daughter went into depression due to the issue and today morning she consumed several unknown medicines to end her life.

“We have lodged a complaint with the police against our son-in-law and his parents,” said Prem Lata.
