A 13-year-old girl was raped by a youth after she was forcibly taken to a washroom by him in a migrants’ vehra in Kasabad. He was arrested by the police.
The suspect was identified as Mohd Aslam, alias Danish, a resident of the migrants’ vehra in Kasabad. A case was registered against him.
The complainant, the victim’s mother, told the police that on August 4, she, along with her daughter, was sleeping in the room. When she woke up in the midnight, the girl was not there. Afterwards, she and her husband started searching for her.

“When we checked the washroom, we were shocked to see that the suspect was violating
our daughter. Following which, he fled the scene. Recently, we lodged a police complaint against him,” she said.
“The police registered a case against the youngster and he was arrested on Saturday,” she said.
Investigating officer in the case sub-inspector Kashmir Singh said the suspect was arrested on Saturday and further investigation was launched in the case.
