Responding to a call given by the local administration and social organisations here, students of various educational institutes have come forward to act as ambassadors for spreading awareness about the risks involved in driving in fog.

They urged their parents to avoid unnecessary travel amid fog, especially in the mornings and evenings.

Rotary Club secretary Ashok Verma said teams of volunteers of the organisation, led by director Deepak Sharma, had organised workshops and seminars on preventive measures to be taken during fog at various educational institutions of the region.

Verma appreciated the students of senior classes for offering to work as ambassadors to sensitise people about the necessity of rescheduling their travel plans and being extra cautious during journeys amid fog.
