Around 5-6 persons snatched a tipper loaded with illegal mining mineral -- core-sand -- from the possession of the bureau team and drove away with the snatched vehicle.

According to the information available, a team of the Haryana State Enforcement Bureau was checking vehicles to stop illegal transportation of mining minerals in the Vyaspur area of Yamunanagar district on Saturday.

During the checking drive, the team stopped a tipper near Buddhi village which was carrying core-sand. The team members asked the driver of the tipper to produce an e-transit pass (bill) of the mineral, but he failed to do so.

The team took the tipper into its possession. In the meantime, a man, who came in a car, allegedly threatened the team members, saying that this tipper belonged to him.

Soon, some other persons came in the support of the “owner” and they also allegedly started abusing the team members. The “owner” and his aides forcibly freed the tipper from the bureau members and drove away with it. They also allegedly threatened the team members that if they try to stop the tipper, they would run over them.

On the complaint of team member Assistant Sub-Inspector Jarnail Singh, a case was registered against unidentified persons at Vyaspur police station of the district.
