Chandigarh, August 16

As many as 68 new COVID-19 cases and three deaths were recorded in Mohali on Sunday, taking the district tally to 1,809.

Meanwhile, 48 recoveries were also reported in the district today.

The deaths reported today include a 53-year-old woman from Sector-91. She died at GMCH Patiala and had co-morbidities. A 35-year-old woman from Lalru died at Ambala Civil Hospital and was also suffering from uncontrolled diabetes. The third death is of a 25-year-old woman from Derabassi, who died at PGI.

There are 824active cases in the district.

With 48 new recoveries, the count of recovered patients in the district has climbed to 949.

Mohali has, so far, reported 36 deaths.
