1st indigenous mRNA Covid shot cleared for more trials

India’s first mRNA-based Covid 19 vaccine has been cleared for further trials by the Drugs Controller General of India and will now undergo Phase II/III studies. Pune-based Gennova Biopharmaceutical’s is developing the homegrown vaccine in partnership with the Department of Biotechnology.
