On Tuesday, another 23-year-old married woman claimed, that she was gang-raped by three youths near a railway station in Nizamabad. The police said the woman—who worked as a farm labourer— is a mother of three. She was in dire need of money and had agreed to Rs 4,000 for sex with three people, but when she was paid only Rs 1,300.

While the woman and the accused were arguing about the payment, a police team arrived at the spot.

Seeing the police the accused fled away, while the woman lodged a complaint.

These incidents have been reported within days of an FIR registered in the Panjagutta Police Station where a woman lodged an FIR last week stating that she had been sexually assaulted by 139 influential people over the last ten years after she got divorced.

The Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) students held a protest on Wednesday outside the office of the Hyderabad Police Chief demanding probe and action based on the FIR.

Following the protests, where some ABVP members were seen in a scuffle with the police, the probe in the case has been handed over to the Central Crime Station, a detective wing of the police headed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP).
