3 High Courts get six judges



New Delhi, November 3

The Centre on Wednesday notified appointments of six judges to Orissa, J&K and Ladakh and Karnataka HCs.

It also notified the appointment of Justice Hamarsan Singh Thangkhiew of the Meghalaya HC as the acting CJ of the same high court from November 4.

Judicial officers Mohan Lal and Mohd Akram Chowdhary were appointed to the J&K and Ladakh HC, while advocate Aditya Kumar Mohapatra was appointed to the Orissa HC. Advocates Anant Ramanath Hegde, Siddaiah Rachaiah and Kannankuzhyil Sreedharan Hemalekha have been appointed as additional judges of the Karnataka HC. — TNS
