New Delhi, July 9
India today crossed the milestone of administering 37 cr Covid shots.
Amid gradually expanding coverage and 41 lakh average daily dose delivery the Congress complained of shortage of vaccines to opposition ruled states.
Congress leader Jairam Ramesh tweeted, “Rajasthan has put in place capacity to administer 15 lakh doses A DAY, and has already done 10 lakh doses a day. But Modi govt has allocated only 49 lakh doses to RJ for THE ENTIRE MONTH of July.
How will we vaccinate India if @PMOIndia divides India into BJP and non-BJP states?”
Vaccine coverage as of today is as follows: health workers (87.5 pc first dose, 62.9 pc second dose); frontline staff (90.9 pc first and 50.4 pc second dose); 45 years and above (46.5 pc first dose and 14 pc second dose), 18 to 44 years (17.8 pc first dose).
