4 share top spot with 99.8% in ICSE Class X

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations announced ICSE Class 10 results today, with four students sharing the top rank with 99.8 per cent. They are Hargun Kaur Matharu (Pune), Anika Gupta (Kanpur), Pushkar Tripathi (Balrampur) and Kanishka Mittal (Lucknow). The second rank has been shared by 34 students with 99.6 per cent, while 72 are on the third spot with 99.4 per cent marks each.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.
