The NIA today said it had filed a charge sheet against seven members of the outlawed ULFA for their involvement in killing a police officer in Tinsukia district of Assam.
A spokesperson of the agency said three of them had been arrested and a hunt was on for the four others.
“Officer-in-charge of Bordumsa police station, Sub-Inspector Bhaskar Kalita was killed and his service rifle (AK-47) looted when his party was attacked by a group of United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) militants at Kujupathar village on May 4, 2018,” said the spokesperson.
Those arrested are Bubul Moran, Dipankar Borah and Mamun Dihingia (all residents of Tinsukia). Bijit Gogoi, Kanto Bora, Santosh Gogoi Sadiya and Jushinta Moran are absconding.
