Maintaining that access to professional education is not a governmental largesse, the Supreme Court has said the state has an affirmative obligation to facilitate access to education at all levels.

Instead, the state has an affirmative obligation to facilitate access to education at all levels,” a Bench led by Justice DY Chandrachud said.
