Trehan, who calls herself an activist (according to her bio), runs her own-event management business. She recently turned into a social activist.
This story earlier mentioned that Trehan was associated with the Save Indian Family (SIF) Movement. However, a statement has been received from the SIF Movement denying her association with the body, following which the report has been updated.
