In a joint operation, the Indian Army and Assam Rifles have rescued two official of the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC).

The operation was done last night near Mon, Nagaland.
Operations are still in progress, a senior Army functionary said on Saturday morning.

Names of rescued ONGC officials are Alakesh Saikia and Mohini Mohan Gogoi.
Suspected ULFA militants had kidnapped three employees of the ONGC on Wednesday from a rig in Sivasagar district, Assam.
An AK 47 has also been recovered from in the operations.
