Lakhimpur violence accused Ashish Mishra contracts dengue, shifted to district hospital

Union Minister Ajay Kumar Mishra’s son Ashish Mishra, arrested in connection with Lakhimpur Kheri violence, has contracted dengue and has been shifted to the district hospital, an official said.

Ashish, remanded in police custody, was sent to the district jail on Saturday evening for treatment at its healthcare facility, ASP Arun Kumar Singh said. Lakhimpur Kheri CMO Shailendra Bhatnagar, along with his team, examined Ashish.

“The samples collected on Saturday night have tested positive for dengue. His sugar level was found to be critical. Some changes were also observed in the ECG. This demands treatment by experts at the district hospital,” he told reporters on
