Babul Supriyo takes oath as Bengal MLA

New Delhi: Making a U-turn, West Bengal Assembly Deputy Speaker Asish Banerjee on Wednesday administered oath to newly elected TMC MLA Babul Supriyo. Supriyo, former union minister who quit BJP and joined the TMC after being dropped from the ministry by the PM, won Assembly polls from Ballygunge constituency on April 16.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
