Chandigarh: The Punjab and Haryana HC on Monday granted anticipatory bail to former DGP Sumedh Singh Saini and police officer PS Umranangal in the Behbal Kalan police firing case. They have been told to appear before the trial court by March 8. — TNS

Navlakha bail plea in SC tomorrow

New Delhi: The SC will on Wednesday hear the bail plea of activist Gautam Navlakha in the alleged Elgar Parishad-Maoist link case. Navlakha, currently in Taloja jail in Mumbai, had moved the SC challenging the HC order dismissing his bail plea. — TNS
