New Delhi, June 12

Sounding a warning for several parts of the country for the next 4-5 days, including Punjab and Haryana, the IMD today predicted frequent lightning and strong winds.

“Moderate-to-severe thunderstorms are likely over Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and northwest Indian Himalayas over the next 4-5 days, accompanied by frequent cloud-to-ground lightning and strong gusty winds. This may cause injuries, leading to casualties to people and animals outdoors," it said. — TNS
