India on Tuesday successfully conducted trials of two variants of supersonic cruise missile BrahMos to check its capability to hit targets with precision
A land-attack version of the missile was test-launched from a mobile autonomous launcher at Chandipur, Odisha, around 8.30 am
Its air force variant was fired in the afternoon when IAF’s SU-30MKI flew from Kalaikunda airbase and launched the missile towards an air-borne target

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
