New Delhi, January 2
Former Union Home Minister Buta Singh, who remained in public service for a long time and served under four prime ministers, died at AIIMS here this morning. He was 86.
The senior Congress leader was in coma since October last year, when he was admitted to the AIIMS after suffering brain haemorrhage. His family said Singh died around 7.10 am. He was cremated at the Lodhi Road crematorium in the evening. President Ram Nath Kovind, PM Narendra Modi and other leaders have mourned his demise. — PTI
